The Search for Kids' Menus
I decided to do some research and visit various seafood restaurants in Gulfport to see if they offer a kids' menu. My first stop was at The Blow Fly Inn, a popular restaurant known for its fresh seafood and stunning views of the bayou. As I perused their menu, I was pleased to see that they do indeed have a kids' menu. It includes options like fried shrimp, chicken tenders, and grilled cheese sandwich, all served with fries and a drink. The prices were also reasonable, making it a great option for families. Next, I visited The Half Shell Oyster House, a local favorite for its delicious oysters and other seafood dishes. To my delight, they also have a kids' menu. It offers a variety of options such as fried fish, chicken fingers, and mac and cheese, all served with fries and a drink. The prices were slightly higher than The Blow Fly Inn, but the quality of food and service made it worth it. I continued my search and visited several other seafood restaurants in Gulfport, including The Dock Bar & Grill, The Shrimp Basket, and The White Cap Seafood Restaurant.
To my surprise, all of these restaurants had a kids' menu. Each menu offered different options, but they all had one thing in common – they were all reasonably priced and included a drink.
Why Kids' Menus Matter
Some may argue that kids can just order from the regular menu or share a dish with their parents. However, as a parent myself, I understand the importance of having a kids' menu at restaurants. Kids have different taste preferences and may not always want to eat what their parents are having.Having a kids' menu gives them the option to choose something they like and ensures that they are well-fed and happy. Moreover, kids' menus often have smaller portions, making it easier for parents to control their child's portion size. This is especially important when dining out as many restaurant portions can be quite large. Kids' menus also tend to be more affordable, making it easier for families on a budget to enjoy a meal out without breaking the bank.
Other Family-Friendly Features
Aside from offering a kids' menu, many seafood restaurants in Gulfport also have other family-friendly features. For example, The Dock Bar & Grill has a playground for kids to play while waiting for their food. The Shrimp Basket has a game room with arcade games, making it a fun dining experience for kids. These features not only keep kids entertained but also make dining out more enjoyable for the whole family.
